Hello Coco and Mainers!
Among many other styles, shackets are back again this fall! There are many different ways to wear a shacket, so we want to help you dust off last year's style and wear it in a new and fresh way. Below are 5 different ways to wear fall's latest obsession!
1. Laidback and casual
Perfect Plaid Shacket (shop here)
Wear the classic plaid shacket in a casual but hip way. Graphic tees are a great way to add a little bit of a grunge look (don't stop at black and white-- we think the more colorful the better!), while edgy distressed sneakers add comfort and nonchalant attitude. Insert your favorite jeans here, but we even love the idea of a baggy distressed 90s jean to really create a laidback look. Add a cap or your favorite glasses for the hipster grunge look of 2022!
2. Flirty Western
Western Corduroy Jacket (shop here)
You don't need to be a fan of Yellowstone to know how to incorporate a western look into your wardrobe! One great way to wear this jacket is to pair with with dainty ankle boots and a simple, earthy dress! We love the idea of a more hearty look with thick soled boots and distressed bottoms, but a feminine look like this can be unexpected. Bonus: add turquoise jewelry to really get into the spirit!
3. Leopard Lounge

Pairing this fun style with a simple tank top and joggers really showcases how versatile the shacket really is. Get your most comfy shacket and wear this during the chilly nights! Want to make it more suitable for day? Get some faux leather joggers and boom, you have a slightly more formal every day uniform.
4. Festive and Warm

While a shacket sometimes is the star of an ensemble, it can be very stylish to let it be a complimentary feature to something more of the moment. Pairing a basic waffle shacket like this can go well with a festive sweater. Complete with a cozy and richly tone knit cap, raw hem loose jeans, and converse keep it grounded and not into ugly sweater territory.
5. Buttoned Up But Not Boring

A turtleneck really makes everything look more refined. Elevate a basic (in a good way) corduroy shacket with a soft neutral turtleneck, loose trendy jeans, and the resurfacing statement ballet flat. The neutrals are classic for fall and lend a look of elegance. Add a pop of color in jewelry to add a little surprise to the look!
